Николай Салтыков is Notable.
Prince Nikolai Ivanovich Saltykov, * 31.x.1736, + 16.v.1816. He was a field-marshal, a knight of the Orders of St. Andrew and St. Vladimir (both 1st class), President of the Imperial Council, and was elevated to the rank of prince with the title of "d'Altesse Sérénissime" by imperial ukase, 30.viii.1814. He was chief of the Russian army by virtue of his post as president of the War Collegium, 1791-1802; Lieutenant Grand Master of the Order of Malta, 1801-1803; and tutor to Tsar Paul I and his sons Aleksandr I and Konstantin Pavlovich. He oo Princess Natalia Vladimirovna Dolgorukova, daughter of Prince Vladimir Petrovich Dolgorukov and Princess Elena Vasilievna Khilkova, who was * 1737 and + 7.ix.1812.
