Biography

He married Anna Catharina Seidel or Seydel daughter of John Nicholas Seydel and his wife Anna Elisabetha, on 5 Jan 1742, St. Paul's Luth. Ch. Book, Red Hill, Mont. Co., Pa.

George wrote his will on 15 June 1793; it was probated in Frederick County, Maryland 17 November 1795.The will names his wife Catherine; six sons George, Michael, John, Andrew, Nicholas, and Benjamin; daughters Elizabeth, Catherine wife of Peter Wolf, Mary Elizabeth wife of Elias Brunner, Susanna wife of Nicholas Holtz, Peggy (probably deceased) wife of Peter Burkart or Bartlett (sp?); and grandchildren Henry, John, and Elizabeth, daughter Catherine's children by her first husband Henry Brunner; Peggy's children also receive a legacy but are not named. The will also names a tract of land called Huffienhart (sp?).^[1]
