Biography

William Frederick Zettwitz was born on August 1, 1869 in Hamburg, Deutschland, son of John Gottlob Zettwitz (~1833– ) and Gesche Meinert (~1836–1926).^[1]

In 1881, William (11)'s occupation was 'scholar'. He was living in household of John Zettwitz (48) in Bootle Cum Linacre in West Derby registration district in Lancashire with his parents, John (48) and Geshi (45); and his siblings, Angnes (17), Franz (15), Hermann (13), Martha (10), James (6), and Christian (4). ^[2]

In 1901, William (31) was living in Everton, Liverpool in West Derby registration district in Lancashire with his wife, Lena (26); and their daughter, Mary (0). ^[3]

William died on February 23, 1955 in Glen Eden, Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand, aged 85. He was buried in Waikumete Cemetery & Crematorium, Glen Eden, Auckland Council, Auckland.^{[4] [1]}
