I started collecting family information in the 1960s, when I was in high school and many of my elder relatives were still around to answer my questions. I continued in college, in the library basement scrolling through rolls of microfilmed census records. When some of the first genealogy computer programs became available, I input all that I had. And then came the Internet. Kids today have it too easy!
