Thomas Young was born on January 13, 1807 in Huntershall, Midlothian, Scotland. Thomas was baptised in the parish of Liberton, Midlothian on 15 January 1807. His parents were Andrew Young (1778 - 1848) and Mary Fairholm (1778 - 1847).[1]
