Biography

Sophie Douglass Young was born in Orange, New Jersey, on May 29, 1866, the daughter of James Hyde Young and Sophie Douglass.^[1][2][3][4]

On June 6, 1892, she married in New York City, the Rev. Gaylord Starin White.^[2][5][6]

Mrs. Sophie Douglass (Young) White died in West Falmouth, Massachusetts, on September 14, 1916, at the age of 50. She was buried in the White Family Lot at Woodlawn Cemetery in The Bronx, New York.^[3][7]
