Bud Yorkin was a producer and director known for "Blade Runner 2049, and the original Blade Runner (1982). He also was an executive producer of many hit TV shows during the 70s; "Maude", "Good Times", "All in the Family", "What's Happening!!", and "Sanford and Son".

In 1999, he and Normal Lear were awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award in recognition of excellence and innovation in enhancing the perception of women's roles in television. In 2002, Yorkin was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame[1][2].
