Biography

Keturah York was born 1 Jun 1775 @ Stonington, Connecticut, the third child of John York and Keturah Brown.

Keturah was a member of the Baptist Church from early life. She came to Brookfield, New York, with her brother Ichabod, and found a home with her brother John. The timeframe in which they migrated to Brookfield was soon after the American Revolutionary War when many other families from eastern Connecticut began westward movement and settlement into the woodland wilderness.

Keturah York married in November 1799 Wheaton Williams. The ceremony was performed at the residence of John York, in or near Brookfield. They had 8 children during the timeframe through June 1815, all born at Brookfield.

Keturah (York) Williams passed away 21 Mar 1861 at Brookfield.
