Biography
Vera was born in 1930. She was the daughter of Wade Yockey and Velma Grinder. She passed away in 2006.[1]
Obituary
Vera G. (Yockey) Lasher, 75, of Kittanning RD 3, died Saturday, April 29, 2006 at her residence. She as born Nov. 8, 1930 in Pleasantville, Allegheny County to Wade and Velma (Grinder) Yockey. Mrs. Lasher was a homemaker. She was a member of the Montgomeryville Baptist Church for 55 years. She loved flowers. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Paul G. Lasher; one son, Thomas Lasher of Adrian; one daughter, Paula Lasher of Kittanning RD3; one sister, Norma Shick and husband Bernard of Kittanning RD5; one niece, Karen Toy of Kittanning RD5; one great-niece, Jessica Toy and one great-nephew, Shelton Toy. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Lori Lynn Lasher; and two infant children. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p,m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home Inc., 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Wednesday until funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Montgomeryville Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Toy officiating. Burial will be in the Montgomeryville Baptist Church Cemetery. [2]
