Richard Yates was born in New York, United States in 1926 to Vincent Matthew "Mike" Yates and Ruth Walden Maurer.
Richard was married twice. Both marriages ended in divorce.
Richard was an author, best known for writing the novel Revolutionary Road, which was adapted into an Academy Award-nominated film in 2008.
He passed away in Birmingham, Alabama on 7 Nov 1992.[1] Richard was survived by three daughters.[2]
