Biography
Dorothy was born about 1540 daughter of John [not James] Yate Esq of Buckland and his wife Mary Justice daughter of William Justice, merchant of Reading.[1]
In the 1566 Visitation she was listed as second youngest daughter, unmarried.
In the 1623 Visitation she was recorded in an unsigned pedigree as second youngest daughter: Dorothy vx [wife]......Moseley
In the will of her father of 1578[2]: to my daughter Dorothy Moseley I will be delivered to her within on year next after my decease one ringe of golde of fortie shillings in recompt---- of a litle ringe of golde with a toquoise which my mother in lawe her grandmother and godmother Johan ...
in the will of her husband of 1592[3] she was given the use of residences in St Clement Danes until her death.
