Hello Doug!

Welcome to the New Netherland Settlers Project. Please visit our FAQ and feel free to ask any questions you may have. If you're looking for your ancestors that might already be on Wikitree, check out our Immigrants and Progenitors page, though it is not quite complete and does not reflect all of the profiles that already exist.

Cheers! Carrie

Hi Douglas,

Thanks and welcome at Wikitree of course! I was new once myself here so I totally understand how difficult it sometimes can be, with all these different spelling and sometimes patronymics.

To find all of them, and maybe you know how this works already, but just in case, you can try a wildcard searches , works here as well ;)

I'll set the ones I find as merge and if you just approve of the merges things will be fine .

Here is the help page with all info about merging ..just in case and.. of course if you have questions or need some help, just ask, always happy to help :)

Thanks! That got me to him. His WikiTree ID is Claesz-4 ... it's in the URL, in the mini-menu at upper right of his profile if you're logged in (you're Wyckoff-435, I'm Noland-165), and precedes the list of profile managers. I found the May post you were referring to... I posted that in response to your volunteer comment that you were looking to trace your family back to Pieter Claesen Wykoff (I thought Claesen-4 might be the one you meant). I'm not related. I saw your post because I'm a volunteer Greeter.

Discussions about Pieter (looking at his profile) would probably be best as a G2G post. Click the "Ask Question" on his profile page to start one.

Welcome to WikiTree!

Hi! You posted a comment on my page in response to something I'd posted in May... about Pieter Claesen Wyckoff's relation to van schowen . Could you post to the relevant profile page instead? If not, please post the WikiTree ID of Pieter Claesen Wyckoff to my page. Thanks!

P.S. If you have a minute, maybe you'll pop into our G2G Forum and post a little introduction about yourself! We love getting to know our members better and it's a great place to find like-minded researchers and potential family! Just follow the link, click “Ask A Question” and you're good to go!

Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree. You are now a member of the WikiTree community. Please note we are trying to build one collaborative tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add profiles to WikiTree.
