Katharine Lucy Mary Worsley was born on 22 February 1933 at Hovingham Hall, York, Yorkshire, England. She is the daughter of Colonel Sir William Arthington Worsley, 4th Bt. and Joyce Morgan Brunner.

Marriage

She married Edward George Nicholas Paul Patrick Windsor, 2nd Duke of Kent, son of George Edward Alexander Edmund Windsor, 1st Duke of Kent and Marina zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Greece and Denmark, on 8 June 1961 at York Minster, York, Yorkshire, England.

Titles and Honours

She was invested as a Dame Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.)

As a result of her marriage, Katharine Lucy Mary Worsley was styled as Duchess of Kent on 8 June 1961.

She was Chllr Leeds U , Controller Comdt WRAC 1967, Col-in-Ch 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Gds, Prince of Wales' Own Regiment of Yorks, Army Catering Corps and Honour Colonel Yorkshire Vol in 1965.
