Biography
Priscilla (Woods) Austin is a part of US Black heritage.
Priscilla was born around 1864 in Texas. She was the daughter of Willis Wood and his first wife Mary. In 1870 and 1880 she was living with her parents and siblings in Harris County, Texas.[1][2]
Priscilla married Elijah Austin in Harris County, Texas in 1883.[3] In 1900 Priscilla and Elijah were living with 7 children in Harris County where they farmed.[4]
Priscilla passed away in Houston, Texas in 1934. She was buried in Amos Cemetery in Kohrville, Texas.[5]
