Frances Martha Woodman is said by many family genealogies to have been born in the 1630s but this is belied by her 3 marriages and child-bearing up to 1718, according to Sussex Co. court documents that state "the widow of Anthony Inlows (Enloe)" appeared in court in March 1707 as the wife of William Prettyman, married after Enloe's death in March 1703. William Prettyman's first wife, Frances (Woodman), widow Enloe, had 5 children with him between 1710 and 1718, when she died after giving birth to her last child, son William Prettyman II. It is much-more logical to assume she was born around 1660 and therefore died at about 58 years old after having given birth to at least 10 children.

"We believe that William [Prettyman] married first, by 4 March 1707, Frances, the widow of Anthony Enloe. On that date as Frances Prettyman, the widow of Anthony Enloe, she appeared in Court on the estate of Anthony. Anthony Enloe in his will probated 10 Apr 1703 mentions wife Frances and daughter Elizabeth Inlows. The quit rents of Sussex County for March 1706 shows Widow Inloss(Enloe) holding land of Anthony, and William must have married her after this date and before 4 March 1707. On 4 March 1707, "Frances Prettyman, formerly the widow of Anthony Inlows, deceased, and executrix of his last will & testament came into Court..."[2]
