Reverend Collins Woodbury was born about 1781 in South Carolina, United States.[1] He was the son of Jonah Woodbury and Elizabeth Dunham. He was the only child listed on the will of his mother.

He was a Methodist minister in Quincy, Florida. His son, Samuel Woodbury, followed in his footsteps as a minister for the Methodist Church, Florida Conference.
He died some time during 1856 of "dropsy of the chest".
