Paul Holland
Edith Wood was my great grandmother Winfred's sister. She married JG Anderson , the first Under Secretary of Public Instruction In Queensland (old title for Director General of Education). One of Edith's children, Edith Susan Gerard Anderson, studied painting at the Slade School in London and knew the Australian artists Emanuel Phillips Fox and Edith Carrick in Paris. Also there was Penleigh Boyd who Edith married. Edith is the beautiful redhead in some of E Phiillips Fox's paintings. Check out 'Nasturtiums and 'The Green Parasol'. Edith Boyd was my grandfather's 1st cousin which makes her my 1st cousin twice removed.
