John Wolley was born in 1534 in Matlock, Derbyshire, England, son of Anthony Wolley (1504–1587) and Ann Angus (1506–1578).
His son was Adam Wolley (1558–~1657).
John died on June 8, 1585 in Allen Hill, Matlock, aged 50.
