Anne Wogan was a widow when she married James Lewes.
Estimate that Rhys Lloyd died two years earlier, in 1575. Estimate that she was married to Rhys for five years, thus married in 1570. Estimate that she was aged 20 when first married, or 1550.
1577 Marriage to James Lewes
He married secondly, in 1577, Anne Wogan, widow of Rhys Lloyd, daughter of John Wogan of Wiston, Pembrokeshire. Both his first and second marriages allied him to two of the most powerful and established families in southwest Wales.[1]
