William Wogan eldest son of John and Jane succeeded to Stone Hall. In the subsidy list for 1628-9, he and his grandmother Grace Wogan were assessed at 32s on lands in St Lawrence worth £ 4 p.a. He married Anne daughter of John Owen of Orielton (died 1612, aged 36) by Dorothy Laugharne of St Brides, the prenuptial settlement being executed on 9 June 1631. By this deed Grace Wogan conveyed the following properties to Dorothy Owen of Orielton, widow, on trust to the use of William Wogan and his bride and the heirs of their body the manors of Yeweston, Patricksffoord, St Edrins, Tylerwr, and Michelyth, in the Hundred of Dewsland. William Wogan died on 22 May 1645, leaving three children, and three years later the widowed Anne married in 1648 Thomas Owen of Trecwn in Llanfair-nantygof by whom she had further issue. She died about 1671, and on 19 March of that year administration of her goods was granted to her son John Owen and Richard Jones of Haverfordwest. By the first husband she had: 1. John Wogan, aged 11 years in 1645. He died unmarried on 27 December 1649, and the Stone Hall estate passed to his two sisters. 2. Dorothy Wogan, born 1632, married on 19 March 1651 'without the privity or consent' of her mother, to William Ford of Crewkerne, Somerset. 3. Mary Wogan, born 1638, married Richard Ford, the said William Ford's brother. As the children were minors when their father died they came into the guardianship of their mother. After her re-marriage, Anne and her husband received the profits for the son and heir John Wogan after whose death they held the estate for the two coheiresses, using the profits for their education and maintenance.
