Sabine von Bayern (of Bavaria) was born 24 April 1492,[1] probably in Munich[2] the third daughter of Albrecht IV, Duke of Bavaria, and his wife Kunigunde von Habsburg, the daughter of Friedrich III, Holy Roman Emperor, and sister of the Emperor Maximilian I
She was betrothed on 18 October 1498[2] when she was only 6 years old, to Ulrich I, later Duke of Wurttemberg, but the marriage didn't take place until 2 March 1511 in Stuttgart.[2],[1] They had 2 children;[3]
However the marriage was unhappy, and Ulrich I was violent, and they were separated on 24 November 1515.[3]
She died at Nürtingen 30 August 1564 but was buried beside her husband in Stiftskirche zu St Georg in Tübingen.[2]
