Ichabod Wing has Welsh ancestors.

Ichabod Wing was born in 1769 at Harwich, Barnstable, Mass., the 5th of 6 children of Elnathan Wing and Experience Atwood.^[1] He married first, on 30 May 1793 at Winthrop, Lincoln, Maine, Elizabeth Prescott (1773-1813). After her death he married 2nd, on 7 Dec 1815 Chrisandra (Rice) Stanley (1761-1823), the widow of Peter Stanley,^[2] who had four sons of their own. After her death he married, on 6 Jun 1824 Cynthia (Bullen) Kendall, widow of Henry Kendall. Ichabod Wing died at Winthrop, Kennebec, Maine on 16 May 1769. After his death the twice widowed Cynthia (Bullen-Kendall) Wing married for a third time in 1834, Asa Wyman of Milburn.
