Biography
David Wing, son of David Wing and Sarah Parker was born in Rochester, Massachusetts on Jun 24, 1766. [1]
His father and family relocated to Montpelier, Vermont about 1790 and settled on a farm in the east part of town. [2]
David received a superior education and eventually taught in the second town school opened. He was elected Town Clerk. He held many offices including Agent, Representative, Judge of County Court and Secretary of State. [2]
David married Hannah Davis on Nov 25, 1792 in Montpelier, Vermont. [3] She was the second daughter of Colonel Jacob Davis. They had eight children: [2]

He died in Montpelier, Vermont on Sep 13, 1806, [4] "swept away by a malignant fever". His death was mourned as a great loss "not only to the town but to the whole state". [2] His widow Hannah died a year later.
David Wing is buried in Montpelier at Elm, Street Cemetery. [5]
