Thank you so much for signing up with the Toddlin' Tortoises in the January 2023 Connect-a-Thon. We may be slower than many, but we are all still winners!
Hertyl and Spertyl Slowsky Tortoises face each other, with the words “Toddlin’ Tortoises” above their heads, the words “think everyone is a” below that. Beneath that, and between Hertyl and Spertyl is the WikiTree globe — superimposed with the words "Wonderful WikiTreer" — and beneath the entire tableau are the words "and that We're all winners in the end". Because we are. Winners.

Melissa, Thanks so much for being part of the Toddlin' Tortoises Team for the 2nd 2022 Connect-a-Thon back in April. Every well-constructed profile added helps to grow a healthier Tree!
Two tortoises — Hertyl and Spertyl Slowsky — stand facing each other. Between them is the stylised WikiTree "DNA Tree" logo, with the words "Wonderful WikiTreer" superimposed over the lower portion of the globe. Beneath the tableau are the words "We're all winners in the end" — because we are. All winners.

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The United States Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).

Thank you for signing the Honor Code, Melissa.

I see that you have had your DNA tested, congratulations! Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. It normally takes 24 hours from adding a test, or adding a new ancestor, or ancestor’s descendant, for WikiTree to display your name and test results on your ancestors and their descendants’ profiles for potential cousins to compare results with. The process of identifying which branch elements of DNA relate to will better enable you to find matches which relate to the particular branches you are researching.

Have fun!

Wendy ~ WikiTree Greeter
