Hi,

It’s Germany Project check-in time again! Please respond within the next 2 weeks and let me know if you’re still interested in participating with the Project. Remember, the only requirements for membership in the Germany Project are (1) that you work on at least one German profile every 6 months and (2) that you respond to this check-in.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. In your response, we welcome any feedback you may want to give on the project (what you like about it, what you’d like to see us do, what we could change, etc.)

If you ever have any questions, please ask. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi, it's been a couple of weeks since asking if you wished to remain in the US Civil War Between the States Project. I'd appreciate you letting me know by the end of February if you desire to remain in the Project. If I haven't heard from you by then, I'll assume you no longer wish to participate. I hope to hear from you soon, thank you.

Hi Kim, I just wanted to thank you for all the work you've done to improve the US Civil War Between the States Project. I'm doing a check-in with all project members and wanted to verify that you're still interested in being a member of the project. Also, any suggestions for the Project would be welcome. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello again! I posted a comment two weeks ago and have not yet heard back from you. I hope you are well! Do you want to remain in the Germany Project? If I don’t hear back from you by the end of November, I’ll go ahead and remove you from our member roster. You are, of course, always welcome to rejoin at any time via our G2G sign-up post.

Best wishes, Traci ~ Germany Project co-leader

Hi Kim,

In the sticker template could you edit the branch= to read United States Army, please? Also, the unit=Military Police will work. This will place your profile in the correct category of Category: Military Police, United States Army, Vietnam War.

Thank you, Natalie, Categorization

I am in possession of an excerpt of a German language book about the Nellis family who settled in upstate New York in 1709. They were the founders of Nelliston and were influential in the development of the town and the church. I received it from the author in the original German and did the translation so that English speakers are able to read it. I can not see any easy way to upload it with the proper references. So, I am asking for an assist to do just that.

If you can please send me a private message about this I will be happy to help you further. Thanks!

Hello Kim,

You recently created Séguin-1067 sourced to a tree handed down to you. I merged it into Laderoute-77 which I created some time ago and sourced properly. You changed it to Sequin-74 (with a Q). I changed it to Laderoute-100. Laderoute IS the Lat Name At Birth (see source). If you look for Séguin-1067 WT will re-direct it 3 times to get to Laderoute-100. I don't know if there is a limit to re-directs but it uses up resources on WT and they like to reduce them. Thank you for understanding

I disagree with the last name as Laderoute. It is an appellation dit Laderoute. The q as opposed to the g was what I had from earlier research and I will go with the g now. However the following is a listing for her mother.

Marie Françoise Séguin dit Laderoute (born Sauvage) was born on February 2 1700, in Champlain, Quebec, Canada, to Catherine Jean Sauvage (born dit Vien). Catherine was born on September 1 1676, in Charlesbourg, Quebec, Quebec, Canada. Marie was baptized on February 2 1700, in Notre Dame de la Visitation, Champlain, Quebec, Canada. She had 6 siblings: Marie Anne dit Barrois (born Sauvage), Marie Catherine Chesne (born Sauvage), Louise Sauvage, Catherine Sauvage, Francois Sauvage and Agathe Sauvage. Marie married Joseph Séguin dit Laderoute. They had one daughter: Marie Jeanne Mesny (born Séguin dit Laderoute). Marie passed away on July 31 1792, at age 92 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States.

Perhaps we can come to some agreement on this.

Hello Kim,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Sources are very important here on Wikitree, especially on Pre-1700 profiles. It is how we show where we got the info and help others find it too. Find out more about sources here and more detailed info here.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

If you have any questions, click reply below this message and I will get back to you.
