Biography

Mary was born on 3 January 1848 in Ottumwa, Iowa, USA. She was the daughter of James Stephens Williams and Francis Helen (Whitcomb) Morrow.[1]

When Mary was about 17 she married William Reed in 1866. They had at least 7 children, 2 died as children.[2]

In the 1870 census Mary (age 22) was living in Chariton, Lucas, Iowa, USA. Residence Post Office: Chariton.[1]

In the 1880 census Mary (age 32) was living in Chariton, Lucas, Iowa, USA. Marital Status: Married. Relation to Head: Wife.[3]
