Biography

Elizabeth Williams the daughter of John and Eleanor Williams a labourer from the village, was baptsied 13th May 1832 at Merthyr Marw parish church Glamorganshire Wales UK.

Elizabeth Williams the daughter of John and Eleanor Williams a labourer from the village, was baptsied 13th May 1832 at Merthyr Marw parish church Glamorganshire Wales UK. We next find Elizabeth aged 9 living at the family home with her parents and siblings at Measteg Llangonyd Bridgend and Cowbridge Glamorganshire Wales UK. With Elizabeth and her parents are her aunt Mary Williams, the sister of John. Also at the family home are five of her siblings. These being John (b 1825) David (b 1827) Isaac (b 1829) Ellen (b 1835) and young Gwenllian (b 1835). There are also three other people at the family home but unfortunatley the 1841 census does not recorde the relationship of these people to the head of Elizabeth’s father ( the head of the household).

We lose track of Elizabeth on the 1851 census. But she turns up on the 1861 census at Laleston with her two sisters at her widower father’s home. Also at the family home is her aunt Mary Williams (John’s sister) there is also a granddaughter at the family home but as yet I have not established who the parents of the child are. The granddaughter is Margaret Williams and was born in the village of Laleston.

Unfortunatley I lose track of Elizabeth after the 1861 census, and I have nothing else to add to her profile.
