Dr. Robert Earl Williams Jr. was born in Ohio in 1920 as the son of Robert Earl William Sr. and Goldie Morgan.
He married Ruth Anne [todo: find surname] on May 30, 1945 and they had a daughter called Melody Antoinette and a son called Robert Williams III. They separated in 1964 and their divorce was finalized in 1966.
He was a flight officer as part of the Tuskegee Airmen (T64644), class SE-44-G.
He graduated from Tennessee State University, then got a master's degree in sociology from Fisk University and then a doctorate in education and psychology from the University of Chicago.
In 1956 he became an educator at Morris Brown College, where he headed the department of education and psychology. He taught at Atlanta University and Florida A&M University, after which he became academic dean and professor of psychology at Virginia Union University in 1962.
In 1967, he moved to Washingon D. C. and became a professor of education and psychology at the University of the District of Columbia. He was also an adjunct professor at Howard University and a consultant to the Labor Department, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institute of Mental Health, the Washington D. C. police, the Corrections Department and the school system. He was also president of non-profit social research organization Rapport Inc. in the field of education and mental health issues.
He wrote several articles and papers. He was a volunteer counselor to prison inmates, a member of the Washingon City Breaskfast Club, a trustee of Urban College and vice president of the Washington Swedenborg Society.
He retired in 1990 and passed away in 1994.
