Biography

Mary Ann Williams was born in 1817. She is the daughter of John Williams and Ann Ruth Tatum. Mary Ann married Loyal Cowles in 1833.^[1] In 1850 they are enumerated on the federal census in Baldwin County, Georgia. ^[2] In 1860 they are in Jersey City, New Jersey. ^[3] In 1870 and 1880, Mary and Loyal are enumerated on the federal census in Washington, D.C. ^[4][5] Mary died 1881 in Washington, DC. ^{[6] [7]}
