James Sydney WIllard was born in Vermont, USA, in about 1834.^[1]

He was postmaster at Tambaroora, NSW, for over 30 years.^[2]

James married Elizabeth Jane Cullen at the Tambaroora Catholic Church on the 18th of February, 1857.^[3]

He died at Tambaroora on the 26th of October, 1908.^[4][1][5]

James Sydney Willard was born about 1834 in Perkinsville, Windsor, Vermont, United States.

Charles was a sculptor by trade before he came to Australia

James married Elizabeth Jane Cullen (~1841 - 1924). Their son was William Albert Sydney Willard (1862 - 1931).

James was a highly respected member of the Tambaroora community and tried his hand at gold mining. When he had earned enough money he bought a hotel, then he became the Post Master of Tambaroora where he worked for 30 years^[8]

James died on 26 Oct 1908 in Tambaroora, New South Wales, Australia aged ~74.^[9]
