Kenneth was born in 1914. He is the son of Kenneth Wilhite and Anna Taylor.
Obituary
A decorated veteran of WWII, Col. Wilhite was born Oct. 3, 1914, in Jefferson City, MO, to the late Kenneth and Tena Wilhite. He graduated from Clayton (MO) High School, University of Missouri, Rolla School of Mines and the United States Air Force College. He served as commanding officer of the 584th Bombardment Squadron, 394th Bombardment Group, 9th Air Force, European Theater of Operations. A command pilot, he flew numerous missions over Germany, Col. Wilhite was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Medal and the Croix de Guere with Palm Cluster. He retired at the rank of Colonel, with honors, in 1974. He was with General Motors Corp. 21 years, retiring in 1977, serving as Senior Sales Engineer in both their Aeroproducts and Detroit Diesel Allison Divisions.
He is survived by his wife Helen Kiebler Wilhite; sons Kenneth T., Jr. (Jill), and Lee B. (Rebecca) Wilhite; and grandson Alexander G. Wilhite. His sisters Ruth Nussbaum and Annabelle Thompson preceded him in death
