I was born in Crescent City, California, in a hospital room with a view of the rocky coast. (That hospital was destroyed by the 1968 Alaska earthquake's tidal wave that hit Crescent City). My father was doing his internship as an MD at the hospital when his eye was injured by a violent psych patient. The family moved to Columbus, Ohio, when I was only 6 months old. There, my father finished his specialty in psychiatry. Having only one eye, his surgery days were over. When the folks split in 1958, Mom moved us back to Los Angeles. Later, Dad moved to Orlando, Florida where his brother, B. Eugene and wife Rebecca, with daughter, Janice Kate, lived. Giny and I were raised in California during school years and Florida in the summers. I majored in liberal studies, taught private school, public school, music and general classrooms from 1st through 8th grade. I have been an office manager for 16 years at our family business. I am a 5th generation Seventh-day Adventist, believing in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and His imminent return. I have two incredibly talented and interesting children by my second husband, Daryl Luthas. I am now married to an amazingly smart man, Russel "Skip" Inks, who loves and cherishes me. I have been a minister of music, dabbled in church drama, children's choirs, composing, arranging and writing. I love God, Skip, our kids and grands, music, fiber arts, gardening and food preservation.
