Research Notes

The 1880 census lists a 53-year-old Eliza Cooper, born in Maine, with father born in Massachusetts, and mother born in Maine. Married to 56-year-old Solomon Cooper, born in England. Lived in Eureka, Humboldt Co., California. Note that 2 of her brothers, Henry and Frederick also lived and died in Humboldt Co. - Henry dying on the same day as Eliza. Eliza and Solomon had children Susie, Frederick P., Albert F., Edgar C., and Floribel, all born in California as early as 1854.

The 1870 and 1860 census also show the Coopers living in Humboldt Co.
