Esekial, born in Little Compton, Rhode Island, on December 22, 1725, was the son of Samuel Wilbore-99 and Elizabeth Carr-2757.

Jephthah’s parents, Esekiel Wilbur and Rachel Gifford, were also listed in Washington County. They originally came from Rhode Island. [1]

At the first town meeting of Milan, Dutchess County, in April 1818, Jephtha Wilbur was appointed as one of the commissioners of schools. The history of Dutchess County, New York, by Frank Hasbrouck; published 1909 by Samuel A.Matthieu. There are no known copyrights in the United States. [2]
