Donald C Wilkey records his first name as "Jobe", but it appears as "Job" in records of his service as a Private in the Third, 5th Virginia Regiment, and Ninth Virginia Regiments, Continental Line, during the American Revolution. He received a land grant as a result.
His residence and death in Amite County, Mississippi, United States, appear to hinge upon 1816 and 1820 state census records, but the individual in them is named as "John Wigley" which raises questions about whether that was the same individual.
Most contemporary documentation is needed to ascertain actual dates/places of birth and death.
