Ann "Annie" Whitworth (married name Wallace) was born on 4 February 1826 in Gateshead, Durham, England, the daughter of Margaret (Wallace) Whitworth and James Whitworth.^{[citation needed]}

She married John Stoker Wallace in Gateshead.^{[citation needed]} Their children were:

• Edwin Wallace (1857–?)^[1]

• Edith Constance Wallace (1861–?)^[3]
• Annie Whitworth Wallace (1864–?)^[4]
