Elbridge Whitten was born in Michigan.

Birth and Parents

Elbridge, the eldest of five children of Lorenzo Whitten and Martha Seaman was born on 11 September 1870 at Big Rapids, Michigan.^[1]

Marriage and Children

Elbridge married Jennie McCool (1876-1958), the daughter of John William and Charlotte (Williams) McCool on 24 June 1896 at Hendley, Furnas, Nebraska.^[2]They had five children:

2. Martha Anita Whitten (b. 1899; d. 1983)

Death and Burial

Elbridge Allen Whitten died on 17 January 1917 in his 46th year at Coon Rapids, Iowa.^[10]He is buried in Highland Cemetery at Bayard, Guthrie, Iowa.^[11]
