Daniel was born in 1801.

On 31 Mar 1821, the town clerk of Livermore, Maine, certified that "an intention of marriage between Mr. Daniel Whittmorte of Jay & Miss Nancy Lyford of Jay hath been entered with me & published as the Law directs."^[1]
