Jesse Whitmore is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A213515.
Jesse was born on 14 October 1759 in Thompson, Windham, Connecticut, USA. He was the son of John Whitmore and Grace (Child) Whitmore. [1]
Jesse Whitmore is an American Revolutionary War Patriot. He served in Ely's Connecticut Regiment in 1777, and 1779-1780.
Private Jesse Whitmore served with 8th Regiment, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.

Jesse married Annie Hopkins, daughter of Elisha Hopkins and Martha Cady., about 1788. They had the following children:

- Abbie, b. 1805
- Mary, b. 1807
- Adeline, b. 1810
Jesse held several offices in the city of Providence, Rhode Island:

- Public Library Commission: 16 July 1808 [8]
Jesse died at the age of 61 on 21 September 1821. He is buried in the North Burial Ground, North Main St., Providence RI.[9] [10]
