Mr. White who had been ill for many weeks, died Friday night. The funeral was held at City Hall Sunday, at eleven o'clock, and the remains were laid to rest in the Guffey cemetery. His loss is deeply mourned by all, and the whole community extend their sincere sympathy to the bereaved children and relatives.

According to the 1900 census he was born in July 1838, and the following sources fit with this date.
