Grew up as a military brat living on military bases spanning Okinawa to Ethiopia to England and 5 U.S. states in between. Traveled a lot of Europe either on vacation or short-term business trips. In college, became fluent in German but that dissipated with disuse post-college. Awarded 3 college degrees: (1) Government and Foreign Affairs, The University of Virginia, (2) M.B.A. The College of William and Mary and (3) M.S. Computer Science, The Johns Hopkins University. Taught undergraduate school at Austin's St. Edward's University and graduate school at The University of Texas in Austin. Worked in high tech, primarily in Austin, Texas retiring from full-time work in 2010. Have worked part-time in software patent infringement cases, foreign currency exchange trading, authoring Steampunk book(s) and pursuing the lifelong odyssey of owning a 1950 Cadillac Series 61 sedan.
