Francis, son of John Wheeler and Mary Unknown, was born about 1672 based on depositions which gave his age as 50 in Jun 1726 and 60 in 1730. He died in Prince Georges Co., Maryland leaving a will written 3 Nov 1785 and probated 18 Feb1736.[1] He named 5 sons and 1 dau: William, Leonard, Francis. Clement, Ignatius, Ana Jones He also mentioned Mary Noble.[2] An inventory of his estate was taken on 21 May 1736 at Prince George's County, MD, with John Hawkins and William Hawkins as appraisers, Leonard Wheeler, Francis Wheeler, Clement Wheeler, and Ignatius as Administrators and Executors, and William Wheeler and Mary Noble as next of kin.[3]
He married Winifred GREENE, daughter of Leonard GREENE and Anne CLARK, on 28 Aug 1690 at Port Tobacco, St. Mary's County, MD; children (surname WHEELER):[3][4]

On 14 Oct 1718, Francis Wheeler and his wife Winifred conveyed 90 acres of Major's Choice to their daughter Mary, wife of Joseph Noble. In 1740 Francis deeded Major's Choice to his son Leonard, and in 1731 he deeded Wheeler's Design (200 acres) to his sons Clement and Ignatius.[5][6]
