Hello Steve! I found you here and I am reviewing all your surnames to see if I can find our closest common ancestor.
Hello Enrique, I hope all is well with you and yours. I thought I’d get in touch again as I really appreciated your input and endeavours to help me try to find my potential American ancestors the Jennings family of Virginia and Captain John Wilcox, possible father of my 5x Great Grandmother Mary Wilcox c1720 - 29.

I realised that this would be extremely time consuming for you so I couldn't expect such commitment when I know that you have so much of your own research to do. I've not yet built a fraction of my tree on Wikitree and intent to try and commit more time to add the rest of my ancestry as and when I can. I have found a possible link to the Bolyn family on my paternal side which needs investigating. As you know, Ann Bolyn is in there somewhere and this is the 2nd time I've come across a link to her. The first being via the ancestors of the Jennings and Corbin families, the one's I can't quite prove a biological connection to right now. Anyway, I thought I’d say hello and thank you for the link to the Free thinkers. As an Atheist, I find there's a certain irony that all those church records have been so useful over the years! Take care and prosper Enrique.

Thanks for your kind words!

After reading your post, I reviewed my connections to Ann Boleyn.

According to WikiTree, I am listed as a 3rd cousin, I believe. But when I go to Geni, Ann Boleyn is listed as my 14th great grandmother with her mother named Ann (Hoo) Boleyn also as my 15th great grandmother.

I will be reviewing my WikiTree line to both of the to see if I can update or correct my connections to both of them.

We share 42.1cm on gedmatch. I have Vernon & Wheeldon family in my direct lines.

Hello Ryan, many apologies for this late reply. I completely missed this message. Sorry.

Are you on Ancestry or MyHeritage? 41.2cM is a fairly close connection. We must be cousins possibly somewhere between 2nd and 4th? My email address is [email address removed] maybe we can exchange information? You seem to have both my parents' lines in your family! Please feel free to contact me and maybe we'll find out our link?

Hi, Steve!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand Pre-1700 Profiles. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines on that page.

Hello Laura, thanks for the reminder. I'll make sure that I re-read the rules for Pre-1700 profiles before doing anything important for ancestors from this era.

Hi

One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Hi Steve,

As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

Has the New Member How-To been helpful or left you with any questions?

PS Have you noticed that WikiTree adds a link to you and your DNA tests on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants? It normally takes 24 hours. For more information on DNA, see Getting Started with DNA FAQ.

Hello Ginny, thanks for your message and apologies for the late reply.

I'm slowly finding my way around the site. I know that I need to explore it more and find out exactly how the DNA check works when I need to compare with someone I think may be linked.

I'm busy building my tree and comparing possible matches which is a massive task as it seems to never end.

Thanks for letting me know that you're there to help and I will be in touch if I need it believe me. There's so much to go through on the site and get used to, it's just as well there are people like yourself to guide us newbies.

Many thanks for your message. Steve
