Biography

September 25, 1695 -- William West was born at Blackburn, Calvert County, Province of Maryland (not far from what is now Bladensburg, Prince George's County, Maryland). [1] [2] William died in 1750.[3]

Alternatively, William West was born at St. James Parish, Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

1696 -- Prince George's County was created from Charles County & Calvert County. It was divided into 6 districts (called hundreds): Mattapany, Petuxant, Collington, Mount Calvert, Piscatoway, and New Scotland.

Circa 1720 -- William West and Esther Duvall married at Maryland. [4]

1720 - 1742 -- William and Esther Duvall West had nine children: three daughters (Ruth, Esther, and Mary) and six sons (John, Joseph, William, Samuel, Benjamin, and James). [5]

February 1728 -- William West, Joseph West, John West, and Bryan Kelly were among the 26 subscribers for building the chapel at Rock Creek in the upper part of the newly-created Prince George parish. [6]

1750 -- date of William West's will. [7]

After August 20, 1750 -- William West died at Three Brothers, Cabin John, Frederick (now in Montgomery) County, Maryland. [8]
