"Frances Mathilda (Weberg) Stein, age 91, of Stockholm, Wis., died on Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at the Pepin Manor Nursing Home, where she resided for the last number of years.

"She was born the daughter of Edward and Ellen (Sundvall) Weberg on November 10, 1915, in Pepin County, in the town of Stockholm, Wis. Frances married Harold R. Stein on January 17, 1936, at the Moravian Church in Stockholm, where she was baptized and confirmed. The couple spent their entire life living in the Stockholm area. Frances loved to garden and work in her flower beds. She also found joy in baking (especially homemade bread), cooking and canning for her family. Frances loved all of her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

"She is survived by her four daughters, Marie (Ralph) Rundquist of Eau Claire, Barbara (Lyle) Redlich of Osceola, Jeanette (Allan) Aubert of Eau Claire and Ardis (Donald) Marquis of Merrill; five sons, Raymond (Janice) Stein of Alma, Marshall (Nancy) Stein of Ellsworth, Richard (Marie) Stein of Hastings, Cameron (Vicki) Stein of Red Wing, Minn., and Bob Stein of Stockholm; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Wallin of Red Wing; sister-in-law, Esther Weberg of Red Wing; and brother-in-law, Michael Kiteck of St. Paul.

"She is preceded in death by husband, Harold Stein; sons, James, Duane and Dale Stein; sisters, Myrtle Kiteck, Florence Johnson, June Weberg and twin sister, Alice Weberg; brothers, Lloyal Weberg and Norris Weberg; granddaughters, Cheryl Sydejko and Kim Stein."

Edward Weberg, son of John and Karen Weberg, was born February 3, 1877 in the community of Lund. In his youth he worked in the Lake City vicinity, but after hit marriage on May 7, 1906 to Ellen Amelia Sundvall, he settled on the farm neighboring the present home place.
