Hi Marie Claude

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

Take care

Karen ~ WikiTree Greeter

Hi Marie-Claude,

Am I right to suppose you have a line of notables in your family tree? I'm referring to the Monod family, a line including several prominent Protestant pastors and extending to the famous scientist Théodore Monod (no profile that I can find). If so, would you mind addind details to the profiles (like precise dates and places of birth/marriage/death and the such), and when it's done add the notables template? Please contact me if you'd like some help. Cheers Isabelle

Hi again, Marie Claude. I see that you are creating a number of profiles but not putting sources. At WikiTree we are working really hard to put a reliable source on any fact we add to a profile. It would be best if you would stop creating new profiles and go back to the ones you've already created to add sources. Thanks for helping make WikiTree the best, most accurate genealogy website!

Hi Marie Claude. You posted this message on a profile recently: this is not the father of Philipp. Jean Weber 1693-1796 was born & dead inMulhouse France. His Wife is Elisabeth Deyler,1698-1757. I'm not understanding. Looking at the profile of Philipp, it appears that you added Philipp as a child of Jean. However, the Jean Weber you refer to is a different man as far as I can tell. Are you needing help to remove Jean Weber as Philipp's father?

we have to remember, these profiles were copied from other trees and shared ,its just a fact that the dates are off, I feel someone did alot of work and left us a map to correct and add too, the problem is its so hard to get the correct dates from back then,so that we can be 100% accurate,

Hi Maude, Re: merge of Susanna Potter and Susanna Porter. Per Mayflower Families, Francis Cooke, v. 12, pp. 556-557, Mayflower Families, William Bradford, v. 22, p. 121, Mayflower Families, John Alden, v. 12, pt. 2, p. 171-172 all state that Abner Bradford married Susanna Potter, not Susanna Porter. Mayflower Families, Francis Cooke states the case that the information that he married Susanna Porter comes from "decades old secondary literature" and is not accurate. Hope this helps in your decision to approve the merge. Thanks, Janis
Hi ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.Michelle~ WikiTree Mentor

Hello Marie,

Welcome to WikiTree! The email you just got from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests -- fill in at least one of your Tags with the names, locations or historical events you're researching and click the "Save Tag(s) and Volunteer" button. One of our Greeters will come along and confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.
