Daniel was born in 1883. He died in 1967.

Barbara (Blegen) Olson
I remember my grandfather was a great story teller and always liked to have lots of fun with his grandchildren. After my grandmother died he was a widower for many years. He raised chickens and for every chicken he ate, he would put the wishbone on the wall of his kitchen. That wall was covered with lots of wishbones. He then married Lena Irwin Poyfair. The Poyfairs had been family friends of my grandparents for many years. Lena’s husband Walt had died so Grandpa and Lena got married. Lena took all the wishbones off the wall. My mom said they had always been hard to dust. She use to go clean his house periodically.

Daniel was a civil engineer. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
He then traveled west to Monroe, Wa. where he met my grandmother Elizabeth Sinnett. They had 6 children.
