Bernard was born in 1883. He was the son of James Weatherill and Harriet Duckett or Duchett. Bernard's birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1883 in the Eton district.^[1]

In the 1891 census Bernard (age 7), Scholar, was the son of James Weatherill in Farnham Royal, Buckinghamshire, England.^[2]

In the 1911 census Bernard (age 27), Tailor, was the single head of household in Sunninghill, Berkshire, England.^[3]

Bernard was in a military record in 1917-1918 in New York City, New York, United States.^[4]

Bernard's marriage to Annie G Creak was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1920 in the London City district.^[5][6] They had 3 children, all born in Chertsey, Surrey.

Like his father before him, Bernard was a tailor and the family business moved to Savile Row during his stewardship. This meant he did a lot of travelling for business. Bernard travelled in 1925 in New York, New York, United States,^[7] and again in 1928,^[8] and 1929,^[9] and 1930,^[10] and 1931,^[11] and 1932, ^[12] 1934,^[13] 1935,^[14] 1936,^[15], 1938,^[16] and in 1946 to Vermont, United States, ^[17] and 1946 to Halifax, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.^[18]

Bernard's death (age 79) was registered in 1962 in Surrey, England.^[19]

Although no longer owned by the family, the tailor business and Bernard Weatherill brand name is still going strong.
