His son's profile cites the 1870 census. Households headed by Charles Watkins and William Watkins are found on the same census page.[2] The previous census page finds another William Watkins (23) in the household of Richard Winfrey.[3]

William (19), born in Virginia
Robert (18), born in Virginia
Mattie (13), born in Virginia

Charles might be,[5] but 51-year-old William is not - see the 1850 and 1860 census information connecting William as son of Henry N. Watkins on Henry's profile - Henry N. Watkins (1787-1850) - and William's obituary (transcription on his Find a Grave memorial).[6]
