John (5) sailed aboard the barque 'Slains Castle' with his parents and 2 siblings. Father - John (29), Mother - Marion (24), Jessie (3), Christina (3mths).
John Waters married Eleanor Tutchen on the 2nd May 1857 at Wesleyan Chapel, Manners Street, Wellington, New Zealand.
On the 2nd May 1907 they celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Celebration at the residence of Mr & Mrs John Waters at 41 Pipitea Street, Wellington, NZ.
He passed away on 14th December 1925 in Wellington, New Zealand.
Burial - 16th December 1925 at the Bolton Street Cemetery, Wellington, New Zealand
